DURHAM, N.C. -
Durham's new transit center is up and running, but is without its free downtown bus service.
The shortfall in the city budget forced the delay of the new bus service, but the $17.6 million "Durham Station" opened today.
The transit hub will serve city buses, along with Greyhound--Trailways buses and taxis.
City leaders hope this will add to rebuilding efforts in the city center.
