Town officials are preparing for the worst from Tropical Storm Hanna.
Town Manager Andy Hedrick said plans have been developed to deal with the storm.
He said there are certain areas of town where flooding is likely when heavy rain hits. In those areas crews will put barricade equipment on the sides of the road on Friday, so if the storm does cause flooding, crews will be able to head to the sites and just pull the equipment into the road to keep traffic out of flooded areas.
He also said crews have been sharpening chainsaws, checking generators and filling up town vehicle gas tanks.
He said crews know their assignments and they will have another meeting tomorrow to go over final plans.
