Most City of Durham offices will be closed Friday, March 21, 2008, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. Durham residents are asked to take note of the following changes in City services.
Recycling, Yard Waste, and Solid Waste Curbside Collections
The City's Department of Solid Waste Management will have will have no curbside collection of recycling, yard waste, and solid waste on Friday, March 21. Collection for regular Friday customers will instead occur on Wednesday, March 19.

Waste Disposal and Recycling Center
The City's Waste Disposal and Recycling Center (Transfer Station) will be closed on Friday, March 21. It will reopen under its normal schedule on Saturday, March 22.
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center
The City's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Center will be closed on Friday, March 21. It will reopen under its normal schedule on Saturday, March 22. The HHW Center normally operates on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Durham Area Transit Authority
On Friday, March 21, Durham Area Transit Authority (DATA) and DATA ACCESS will operate on its regular schedule in which service is provided from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. All administrative offices will be closed. For more information regarding DATA's routes and schedules, contact the GoTriangle Regional Call Center at (919) 485-RIDE.
Durham Parks and Recreation
Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) will close their administrative office and all recreation centers on Friday, March 21. DPR's administrative office and recreation centers will reopen under their normal schedules on Monday, March 24.
Durham One Call
Durham One Call will be closed on Friday, March 21. However, citizens may complete an online service request by visiting the City's Web site at www.durhamnc.gov/departments/onecall or by leaving a message with Durham One Call's answering service. Requests for assistance left with the answering service or via the online service request form will be forwarded to Durham One Call on Monday, March 24.
