DURHAM, N.C.

The snorting bull is coming down! A famous fixture in the Durham Bulls' stadium received a new home Tuesday.

A crew took down the larger than life bull around 4 pm Tuesday. The bull has been a landmark in the ballpark since 1998.  The famous snorting bull was first made famous by the movie ‘Bull Durham'.

A new two-sided Bull will be constructed in the left field of Diamond View II.  This way all walking on the new left field concourse and around the rest of the stadium can see it as well.  Ballpark officials said the new snorting bull will be up in time for the Bulls 2008 home opener against the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees on April 11th.

The old snorting will have a new home on the wall of the main concourse for everyone to see close up.
