Police continue to search for the suspect responsible for a hit and run on Muldee Road on Oct. 11.
Evidence at the scene suggests the suspect's car may be:
• dark blue, somewhat faded
• a Buick Regal, Cutlass Supreme, 4 door or similar
• missing part or all of the left side rear view mirror
• completely shattered on left side assembly
A 15-year-old boy walking north on Muldee Road was struck by the car. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the driver frequents the Muldee Road, especially at night. It is a dark, unlit road generally travelled by those familiar with area, according to police. Businesses generally close at 6 p.m. and aren't open on weekends.
Evidence also suggests that driver attempted to avoid accident.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Durham Crimestoppers at 683-1200 or Corporal S. McHenry at 560-4315.
