Fayetteville Police Detectives made an arrest Tuesday for the Nov. 3 homicide of Mondrow Brown.

Joseph Michael Tancredi, 19, was arrested without incident and charged with First Degree Murder. He is currently being held in the Cumberland County Jail with no bond.

Tancredi is a soldier with the United States Army, assigned to D-Company, 2nd Battalion, 504 Parachute Infantry Regiment on Ft. Bragg.

Brown was found in a parking lot on Eastern Boulevard at about 12:25 a.m. Nov. 3.

Brown has been listed as homeless. Police said he died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
