CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -
Barack Obama supporters throughout the Triangle will gather for an "energizing, get-out-the-vote" celebration just prior to the state primary election.
The event is also meant to inspire children to engage in the political process. As such, it will feature live music; a "Bounce for Obama" moonwalk; political sign making; REAL voting booths for a mock election (complete with "I voted" stickers) and live mini democratic donkeys, among other kid-friendly attractions.
The event is hosted by Jeff and Laurie Abbey, active Obama supporters. It will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 735 Gimghoul Road in Chapel Hill.
