RALEIGH, N.C. -

There are isolated pockets of some sleet around the area this morning.  However, as the temperatures continued to warm up, the sleet turned to light showers.  There is no expectation of any significant amount of sleet or snow accumulating.

Cold temperatures and air will remain around the area and through the afternoon some areas could see some mixing of snow showers with light rain.  Again, no significant accumulation is expected.  The best chance for snow showers to occur is along and north is Interstate 40.

Looking ahead to Martin Luther King, Jr, Day the chance for more snow flurries or snow showers remains during the afternoon.  Any snow should remain light with little or no accumulation expected.
