DURHAM, N.C. -

Two Durham County Libraries want to make it convenient for you to recycle your unneeded paper.

Durham County's General Services Department and the Durham County Library are teaming up with the News and Observer Recycling Center for a two month recycling pilot program that allows library visitors to bring newspapers and magazines to the North Regional Library on Milton Road and the East Regional Library on Lick Creek Lane.

You'll find green recycling bins outside the libraries.

"Nowadays to increase participation in recycling, recycle bins must be convenient and accessible," said Brian S. Haynesworth, waste reduction specialist for Durham County's General Services Department in a press release. "We hope our citizens appreciate the added convenience of recycling newspapers and magazines recycling while visiting area libraries."

For more information about recycling in Durham County or the pilot recycling program, contact Brian S. Haynesworth at 919-560-0433 or via email at bhaynesworth@co.durham.nc.us
