DURHAM, N.C. -
Durham Police need help getting information about a shooting that took place Sunday night at Plaza Garibaldi restaurant on Foushee Street in Durham.
Police say a 28-year-old male was at the restaurant with several friends around 10:30 p.m. when he noticed a man harassing a female employee and asked the male to leave her alone. The suspect, who police believe was intoxicated at the time, shot the victim several times in the torso. The victim was taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The suspect is a male in his late 20s, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a cowboy hat, a white T-shirt, dark brown dress pants, tan cowboy boots and a large gold belt buckle. Authorities believe the suspect fled the scene in a green sedan occupied by another woman and man. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator A.M.
