RALEIGH, N.C. -
The N.C. Board of Transportation has approved the final version of the 2009-2015 State Transportation Improvement Program.
The plan includes major transportation projects across North Carolina for the next seven years.
The N.C. Department of Transportation compiled the document, which funds 2,418 projects totaling more than $13 billion.
The projects cover highway, rail, public transportation, aviation, ferry and bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
