DURHAM, N.C. -
Duke University's plans to renovate women's toilets at its football stadium are being delayed, so the school says it will rent premium portable restrooms for this fall's games.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reported Thursday that Duke spokesman Chris Kennedy said the toilets are in trailers with air conditioning and an attendant. The toilets usually are rented for alumni weekends.
Kennedy called the portable units "the gold standard."
Duke officials say they hope to renovate toilets at Wallace Wade Stadium by the 2009 season.
In the meantime, Kennedy says, men will have to use the original restrooms that were installed in 1929.
