DURHAM, N.C. -

Police are looking for the suspect responsible for a first-degree burglary in the 700 block of Shepherd Street.

Police say the suspect entered through an unlocked door and was confronted by the homeowner around 4:30 a.m. on June 5. The suspect fled, breaking through a glass door and leaving a bicycle at the scene.

The suspect is described as a man in his early twenties, standing at 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 135 to 155 pounds with short, black, curly hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a short sleeve T-shirt and khaki-colored pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator David Anthony at 560-1020, ext. 226 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200.

Investigators are also asking for information about a first-degree burglary that was reported at 3:40 a.m. on June 4 in the 1500 block of Blount Street, which is a few blocks from Shepherd Street. The residents told officers they heard a sound inside their house and discovered that someone had entered the house through a window and taken a laptop computer.
