Durham Police are warning residents about a recent rash of vehicle and home break-ins in the Woodcroft Parkway.
A male suspect has been entering unlocked vehicles and unlocked homes to commit thefts, according to police. In some cases, the suspect has used spare keys found inside the vehicle to access a home.
Most of the break-ins are happening between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Durham Police released these crime prevention tips:
• Lock your vehicles
• Do not leave valuables and/or spare house keys inside your vehicle
• Keep all doors and windows to your home locked
• Call 911 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious persons
