DURHAM, N.C. -

A small group of people walked to fight homelessness Saturday.

Supporters held the first annual "Parker's Walk" to raise awareness and money for "Parker's House."

It's a home in a Durham suburb used to give homeless people a place to transition from life on the streets.

The home was started after a student at Duke's Divinity school heard a lesson on the homeless.
