DURHAM, N.C. -
A Durham Police Officer was taken to a local hospital Thursday after being involved in an accident.
Officials say the accident happened around 11:40 a.m. at Kent Street and Lakewood Avenue. It appears a truck may have run a red light, causing the accident.
The officer was taken to Durham Regional Hospital. The officer's condition or identity was not released.
