Durham Police are attempting to identify a male suspect who allegedly stole beer and assaulted a female convenience store clerk.
The suspect entered the Family Fare BP at 2685 Chapel Hill Boulevard around 9:45 a.m. on September 21 and took two 12-packs of beer from the cooler. According to police, when an employee confronted him, he pushed her to the ground and fled with the beer.
He was described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, 5'11" to 6'2" tall and weighing about 200 to 240 pounds. The suspect has a muscular build and wearing a doo-rag, a red t-shirt, blue jeans and red tennis shoes.
Police say he fled in a blue vehicle.
