Man Shot, Gets On Durham Bus

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham Police are investigating a shooting call that occurred Tuesday evening at 708 South Alston Avenue.

Officers responded to a shooting call that was reported by the driver of Data bus No. 8 at the intersection of Fayetteville Street and Umstead Street at 6:49 p.m. on Tuesday. When they arrived, the officers found that a male victim had been shot in the left shoulder. The male, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to Duke Hospital with a non life-threatening injury.

Officers determined that the male victim had been shot at a different location, after which he entered bus No. 8.Upon noticing the victim had been shot, the bus driver drove to the intersection Fayetteville Street and Umstead Street and called the Durham Police.

Officers do not have any motive or suspect descriptions at this time.
