With the school well on its way, Durham Public Schools is encouraging middle school parents to stay active in their child's education.
Middle school parents are encouraged to spend an evening learning about topics that will help them better connect with this age. DPS will offer Middle School Parent Academy workshops
Thursday, September 18 or Monday, September 22
DPS Staff Development Center, 2107 Hillandale Road.
Registration starts at 6:00 pm with a light dinner, child care and Spanish interpreters provided.
Workshops will focus on motivation, stages of adolescence, Internet safety, steps to graduation, IEPs, and reading and writing help.
