Reward Offered For Murder Information

DURHAM, N.C. -

A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the murder of Tony Bernard Williams.

When police arrived to a traffic accident at the intersection of Old Oxford Highway and Danube Lane at on April 29, the officers saw several damaged motor vehicles in the road and found Williams lying inside a brown Honda Accord. Williams, 25, of South LaSalle Street was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to witnesses, Williams had been stopped in the northbound lane of Danube Lane near Belvin Avenue talking to the occupant(s) of another vehicle. Several shots were fired from the other vehicle and the driver sped away. Williams' vehicle ran off the road, went through several ditches and struck two vehicles near the intersection of Danube Lane and Old Oxford Highway before coming to rest on Old Oxford Highway.

No charges have been filed and no motive has been established.
