CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. -
The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Red Flag Warning for central and eastern North Carolina.
The counties affected include Wake, Durham, Orange, Johnston, Chatham, Cumberland, Vance, Person, Granville and Alamance Counties.
The Red Flag Warning is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.
The wind gust is expected to reach 30 to 40 mph.
Gusty westerly winds and low relative humidity will produce dangerous wildfire conditions today.
