A missing attorney who is facing charges in Smithfield was found in Wilmington early Friday.
Chadwick C. Lee, 32, was found early Friday morning at a hotel in Wilmington, Sheriff's department officials told NBC17 this morning.
Lee had not been seen for about a month and was reported missing officially on July 22 by family members.
The State Bureau of Investigation tells NBC17 that Lee will not face any charges for leaving Johnston County.
Lee, a defense attorney, had been charged in an investigation into possible illegal dismisals of DWI cases in Johnston County.
District Attorney Cynthia Jaeger, four attorneys and a former court clerk were charged in the case. Attorneys Lee, Lee Hatch, Van Sauls, Jack McLamb and former court clerk Portia Snead also face felony charges.
