Police Charge Three in Underage Alcohol Compliance Check

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

Three store clerks were cited last week for selling alcohol to minors. Officers Chapel Hill Police Department conducted an underage alcohol compliance check at several locations throughout the city last week. 

The below locations were visited:

710 Weaver Diary Rd. (Cedar Falls Convenience Store)
1129 Weaver Dairy Rd. (Food Lion at Timberlyne)
1201 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (Family Fare BP)
1200 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd (Citgo Mini-Mart)
1501 E. Franklin St. (Kangaroo Express)
1509 E. Franklin St. (Etna Self Serve)
1200 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (Citgo Mini-Mart Convenience Store)
203 Ephesus Church Rd. (Buy & Go Convenience Store)
1720 Ephesus Church Rd. (Foodlion at Ram`s Plaza)
1722 N. Fordham Blvd. (Bailey's Pub & Grill)
1501 E. Franklin St. (Kangaroo Express)
201 S. Estes Dr. (Harris Teeter at University Mall)
1800 Martin Luther King Jr. BLVD (Harris Teeter at Chapel Hill North)

Out of these locations, three store clerks were cited for selling a malt beverage to a minor. Sherry Renne King-Purdie, 47, at Food Lion at 1720 N. Fordham Blvd., Ashley Nicole Swing, 22, at Bailey's Pub & Grill 1720 N. Fordham Blvd. and Ann Denise Glenn, 47, of Cedar Falls Convenience Store 710 Weaver Diary Rd.
