The Black History Committee at Johnston Community College (JCC) is hosting a reception and broadcast of Barack Obama's presidential inauguration on Tuesday, January 20 in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium, according to a press release.
The event, which will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., is open to the community as well as students, faculty, and staff.
"On Jan. 20, 2009 we will celebrate this hope, for the love and unity of all Americans, not focusing on our differences but celebrating the blessing of our diversity," said Joseph Pridgen, coordinator of the minority male mentoring program at JCC.
