A North Carolina Army post is about to open a new, $5 million dollar blood donor center.
Fort Bragg will hold a "wall raising" ceremony Tuesday to mark the start of construction of its new 12,000-square foot facility that will house blood donation, processing, testing, storage and shipping. The center will be completed in June 2010.
The blood donor center is a part of a program of 22 centers worldwide that collect blood for the military community.
