CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. -
The Halifax Superintendent announced her resignation during the Aug. 17 Board of Education meeting.
According to the Halifax County Schools web site, Superintendent Geraldine Middleton has accepted a position with the Chicago Public School System. Her resignation takes effect Sept. 18, 2009.
