A Clayton teen has been charged with vandalizing a community center construction site, according to police.
The Clayton Police Department has charged a 15-year-old teen with involvement in the August 2008 vandalism of the Clayton Community Center construction site at 715 Amelia Church Road. The suspect is charged with damaging buildings, equipment, tools and other construction materials. The total damages were estimated to be well over $50,000.
The teen's identity is not being release due to his age.
According to police, the teen is also facing breaking and entering charges, larceny, and for damaging property owned by Johnston County Schools.
The investigation remains open and there could be additional charges involving others.
