Thousands of people took the time to have a little fun today, despite the warm weather.
The 17th annual "Day at the Park" had people packing into Morrisville Community Park.
The Day at the Park has turned into one of the biggest events of the year, and many people have been coming back again and again.
"Family is important, so playing with the kids, that's very important too," said Morrisville resident Mohan Turuvekere.
"Gets the people out, and living right here in Morrisville, it's nice that we can just cruise on over," said another Morrisville resident.
The crowd was a little thin during the hottest part of the day, but organizers still expected to see about 10,000 people by nightfall.
"We're just excited to have something for the community to come and participate in," said Stephanie Smith, Cultural Resources Specialist for the Town of Morrisville. "It's a great day for it, it's a great time of the year, so we're just happy to have something to put on for the town to come out and enjoy the weather."
The day is scheduled to culminate with a fireworks display around 9:30 p. m.
