An Emergency Preparedness Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 through Thursday, September 25 in the lobby of the N.C. Children's Hospital at UNC Hospitals.

The theme of the fair will be "Get a Kit, Make a Plan, Get Involved" with a special emphasis on bridging gaps in preparedness. The event will provide information and tools on family, elder, and special needs preparedness as well as information on coping with stress during and after a disaster.

The event will coincide with National Preparedness Month and representatives from many of UNC Health Care's community and campus partners will be present and available for questions.

Two door prizes will be given away, a weather radio and a Red Cross disaster kit. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
