HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -
Residents in Orange County can weigh in on jurisdiction changes near the town of Hillsborough.
The changes would make it possible to accommodate growth in urban areas.
Officials say with the rapid pace of development, it's important to look ahead.
"You have to re-evaluate plans that have been around for 10-15 years every once in a while to ensure that the growth is in the right place and is using the new technology and concepts that are available to us," said Orange County Planning Director Craig Benedict.
An informational session will be held tonight at the Durham Tech satellite campus from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
