One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer in his or her lifetime. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people across the country each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
The North Raleigh/Wake Forest Relay for Life will be held at Wakefield High School on May 15. With over 50 teams participating, numerous fundraisers are taking place throughout our community. Events and activities range from a community-wide yard sale to restaurant donation days to selling Mother's Day roses, t-shirts and Wii raffle tickets.
