CARY, N.C. -
The Apex Lions Club prepared a special treat for the community to raise money for those who need it most.
This is the club's yearly fish fry fundraiser to help the hearing impaired, Western Wake Crisis and many other charities. Lions President Horace Johnson said this is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year.
"It's important because there are a lot of folks out there that are less fortunate then others. This is a way to make sure that those people in need that we support then especially when it comes to eye glasses and other hearing impaired facilities," said Johnson.
The members said they hope to raise over $3,000.
