Tom Jones Drug is now officially in its new location and offering more services than they could at their previous location.

On Wednesday they celebrated their grand opening at their store on the corner of Timber Drive and Vandora Springs Road in Garner

"We feel confident we'll do fantastic, there's always room for the personalized, little, small non-chain drug store, where we know everybody," said owner, Tom Jones.

The 34-year-old establishment offers compounding services, which allows them to put in any drug a patient may need or take out one they don't need or are allergic to.

The pharmacy also has a sterile lab where they are able to make eye drops and injections.

The pharmacy specializes in home medical equipment and nutrition.

"We get to know our customers, we know learn them, we know them by name, we know about their families, they come in and they talk to us, and we listen and we think that's a service not all other pharmacies do provide," said Caroline Hodges, Tom's daughter.

Despite the troubling economy, Jones said he's not too concerned about the future because of the specialized services they offer.

"We are always concerned, but what we are looking for is that nitch, that different approach and we are so different with our customized medications, our prescriptions," said Jones.
