Get in the holiday spirit at Historic Oak View County Park by enjoying "A Winter Night at Oak View," Saturday, December 6, 2008, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oak View County Park is located at 4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh. The program is free and open to the public.
Visitors will enjoy decorations and displays that were used during Christmas time at the Oak View Farm from 1850 to 1950. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage through Oak View's Pecan Grove or listen to Christmas carols in the 1855 farmhouse. Patrons can enjoy hot apple cider in the 1825 Plank Kitchen and of course, visit with Old St. Nick himself!
The staff at Historic Oak View County Park will also accept donations of new clothing, toiletries and canned goods that will be donated to Interact of Wake County, Inc., which provides support to victims of domestic violence and assault.
