Get ready for the 3rd Annual Sequins and Spurs Gala to benefit the Horse and Buddy program.
The Horse and Buddy program teaches children with special needs how to ride a horse, improving their balance, muscle tone, motor skills and self-esteem. They use this technique as therapy for the kids.
The money raised at the gala will go toward building a new arena for the Horse and Buddy program. Currently, the group does not have a permanent location to hold practice. Executive Director Janet Mason said she hopes to be able to serve all those in need.
"We'd like to get the building build so we can eliminate the waiting list and serve all the people who need us," Mason said.
The gala will take place Saturday, May 10 at the Barn at Fearrington Village. For more information go to www.horseandbuddy.org.
