Parents and students are upset about Wake County's new school reassignment plan.
The School Board released its updated reassignment draft plan with a school by school breakdown Saturday.

The updated draft removed 1,300 students from the original proposal.
It still has 25,000 children changing schools over the next three years.
That includes some high school students who don't want to make a move, especially without their friends.
Catherine Smith is a Sophomore at Apex High School -- she found out that next year -- she'll be a junior at Athens High School in Raleigh.
"I have to just say goodbye to all of them in my second year, really sucks," said Smith.
Smith said she has great relationships with her principal, teachers and friends -- and she doesn't want to have to go through freshman year all over again.
"They don't know the kind of relationship we have with all the teachers and kids here I mean they really have to see the relationship we have before we can decide if we need to move or not," said Smith.
"They" are the Wake County School system -- the latest reassignment plans sends a group of students from Apex to Athens.
"I feel like I finally found myself here and become independent and made a lot of new friends and now I have to move once I finally fit in," she said.
On top of Smith's concerns, parents are also worried, about their students driving or riding the bus a new route -- parents have looked
"It has 51 times more accidents then what we currently have in our commute which is just two miles," said Barbara Walsh, parent of an 8th grader who would be sent to Athens High instead of Apex High.
Their kids making new friends.
"For me it's important too, I get to know the kids, I get to know the kids' parents, I can make sure my kids are in a peer group that's going to keep them out of trouble," said Mark Darby, parent of an Apex High Senior who is set to be transferred to Athens High School.
And parents ability to be involved.
"It will limit our families ability to be involved and supportive of that school," said Walsh.
School officials say the reassignment plan addresses the opening of ten new schools.
According to the schools website -- the goals of the plan are to create a stable school environment, create a diverse student body, alleviate overcrowding and build a sense of community.
These parents and students have another chance to try to change the reassignment plan.
On January 5th they'll plead their case to the school board.
