Sales are down for the United States Postal Service; therefore hours have been cut at several locations.
According to officials with the USPS, customer traffic did not justify keeping certain locations open and paying employees.
Officials also said it's not only the current economy that has them looking at operating logistics.
It's also the national decline in people sending mail.
Officials said they are trying to keep costs down so they don't have to pass the cost along to customers.
The price of a stamp will go up two cents in May. That will make the price of a stamp 44 cents.
