Papa Spud's Organics (www.papaspuds.com), the Triangle's breakthrough distributor of Certified Organic produce, introduces its new delivery service to local homes.

The Cary-based business delivers organic fruits and vegetables year-round.

"Eating organically shouldn't be an expensive hassle," said Ben Stone, who started the business with long-time friend Rob Meyer. "We've grown up in Raleigh, and see a real demand in this area for a fresh, convenient and affordable alternative to typical ‘box' supermarkets and expensive specialty stores. We created Papa Spuds to make it easy and fun for people in our community to eat, feel, and live better and more responsibly."

Papa Spud's Organics partners with Eastern Carolina Organics (www.easterncarolinaorganics.com) to support North Carolina farmers and provide locally grown foods during the state's growing season.

Throughout the colder months and for more produce selections, Papa Spud's turns to a network of domestic and international fair-trade, organic farmers.

"We work directly with farmers and local distributors to eliminate unnecessary costs, which lets us deliver without increasing the cost to our customers," said Meyer.

Papa Spud's continues its socially and environmentally responsible credo by using only packaging supplies that are repurposed or made from recycled materials.
