One man is in custody after "barricading" himself inside a home.
Police responded to a domestic abuse call at 3316 Rock Quarry Road around in Raleigh around 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the suspect, Robert Eugene Gay, was armed with a handgun and refused to leave the residence.
His wife, Kelli Michelle Gay, and two boys ages 9 and 11, were no longer in the home when police arrived.
The suspect eventually surrendered.
There were no reported injuries.
The suspect has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, assault on a female, assault by pointing a firearm, and communicating threats.
The incident closed part of Rock Quarry Road for some time, but the road has been reopened to traffic.

Keep him locked up so we don't have to read about his wife and children being harmed again or worse their death.
