CARY, N.C. -

Brad Cooper’s attorneys have released new information they say proves Brad did not kill his wife Nancy Cooper.

Kurtz and Blum, Brad’s attorneys, claim misinformation has spread in the media.  In an effort to prove Brad’s innocence, they have released photos of Brad’s neck, surveillance videos of Brad in Harris Teeter and receipts showing the items Brad purchased at the store on their Web site.

In recently released affidavits from the Cary Police Department, on July 12, Detective Daniels claimed to see scratches and red marks on Brad Cooper’s neck.  According to the attorneys, the scratches and red marks do not appear on photos that were taken five days later on July 17.

The affidavit also claims Brad did not explain the scratches and marks, but according to the attorneys, there are two reasons as to why Brad would not mention the scratches and marks on his neck.  First, there were no scratches and marks on his neck or second, no one actually asked Brad Cooper about the scratches and red marks.  Attorneys’ also claim no other witnesses mentioned the scratches and red marks.

The attorneys also released surveillance videos of Brad Cooper entering a Harris Teeter twice on the morning of July 12.  You can click on the links below to see the surveillance videos.

Brad Cooper's Second Visit To The Store

During his first visit to Harris Teeter at 6:22 a.m. on July 12, receipts show Brad purchased Harris Teeter Brand Organic Milk.  Then at 6:41 a.m., Brad came back to Harris Teeter and purchased Tide laundry detergent and Green Machine Naked Juice. According to the receipts, those were the only items that Brad purchased at the grocery store.

The website asserts Nancy Cooper's friends, whom it dubs the "Cary Clique," were biased against Brad from the moment she disappeared, because they only met Nancy after the Cooper marriage had already started to dissolve.

Nancy's friend, Jessica Adam, declined comment except to say, "I knew Nancy well before she had any noticeable problems in her marriage."

Cary Police Chief Pat Bazemore made the following statement regarding the release of information from Brad Cooper’s attorneys

“Cary citizens know that if there is ever any chance that they are at risk, the Cary Police Department informs them and protects them.  Releasing the details of ongoing investigations can jeopardize our ability to find the truth and arrest the person or persons responsible for crimes, something I’m sure no one wants to see happen.”
